Adam: Parent shouldn't be punished for protecting her child

The conviction in British Columbia of a mother who staged a citizen’s arrest of the man she suspected of luring her under-age daughter into sex, raises troubling questions about a parent’s right to protect a child from a predator.
The good news is that the woman and two people who helped her make the arrest were given a six- to 12-month conditional discharge. They will have no criminal records if the conditions are met. But I wonder how many of us would act differently if faced with
