A step toward suicide awareness for First Nations youth

“I tried to buy shoes where I could along the way, at places like Walmart,” said the 47-year-old Ojibwa, who also had two pairs of shoes donated for his long walk that ended Friday.
After starting out at home in Sioux Lookout back on July 24, he walked about 1,800 kilometres to Ottawa to raise awareness and remember First Nations youth who have committed suicide.
