A St. Paddy's Day Parade traffic alert

Motorists should avoid parts of downtown Ottawa on Saturday morning because of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and a two-mile race event. Most of the delays will be felt between 10 a.m. and roughly 1 p.m.
The parade will start at city hall on Laurier Avenue, travel west on Laurier, turn left on Bank Street and end at Marché Way (Lansdowne Park).
The following roads will be closed:Westbound lanes on Laurier Avenue between Nicholas Street and Elgin Street (7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.)
