A muslim scholar on what it means to be a Canadian

This year, 2017, Canadians proudly celebrate the 150th, grand anniversary of our nation.
In the last 22 years, since my landing on Canadian shores, I have witnessed Canada evolving, changing towards the better. Each day here gave me an opportunity to appreciate Canada and Canadians more, and feel privileged at being part of the Canadian tapestry. Yes, I was born in Bosnia but I am a Canadian; I am Bosnian in memory. An individual carries multiple identities at any given time.
