80-year-old handyman goes on $8,800 fraud vacation

An 80-year-old part-time handyman allegedly took himself on a pricey, but illegal, vacation to Alberta after a Gananoque man handed him his credit card to buy supplies.
The man had hired the octogenarian jack-of-all-trades to do some work around the house for him. The credit card was handed over so that the handyman could go buy supplies.
He did not buy any supplies.
Rather, in what is potentially the least complicated con in modern history, the man packed up and headed west, say police.
