25 residents displaced in Concord St. apartment fire

Ottawa Fire Services reported Monday that a two-alarm fire at 135 Concord Street South in Old Ottawa East had resulted in the evacuation of 20 people. The blaze was reported at 8:14 a.m. and was under control by 9:15.
The units in the nine-apartment building will not be habitable, and 25 people have been displaced, Ottawa Fire said in a release.
The fire was in the ceilings between the second and third floor and roof.
A firefighter sustained an ankle injury, but no civilians were injured. &
