Wildfires 2018: Lightning storm sparks more than 100 wildfires in B.C.

B.C. crews are busy with more than a 100 new wildfires that broke out Tuesday in because of a lightning storm.
Kevin Skrepnek, a fire information officer with the B.C. Wildfire Service, said there were 132 new fires on Tuesday, and 44 on Wednesday. He said 106 of those were caused by lightning.
Twenty-one of the fires were in the Prince George fire centre and were causing a lot of smoke in northeastern B.C.
