Wildfire-ravaged B.C. extends provincial state of emergency into mid-September
A province-wide state of emergency has been extended as British Columbia deals with its second-worst wildfire season on record.
As of Wednesday morning, 534 wildfires were burning in B.C., with 34 evacuation orders affecting approximately 3,200 people, plus 53 evacuation alerts impacting approximately 21,800 people.
