VPD officers could face charges after man seriously injured in fall from bicycle

A case involving a man who was being followed by VPD officers when he was injured falling from his bicycle has been forwarded to the B.C. Prosecution Service.
According to the Independent Investigations Office of B.C., officers in an unmarked vehicle followed a man riding his bike along Hamilton Street around 2 a.m. on Sept. 12, 2018.
“During the interaction, the male suffered serious injuries when he fell from his bike,” the IIO said in a news release.
