VPD arrest suspect in a wave of spitting attacks in Vancouver

Vancouver police are seeking more victims who were spit on in several assaults in Downtown Vancouver on Sunday.
VPD Sgt. Jason Robillard says Daniel Bielewcz, a 28-year-old Vancouver resident, has been charged with assault. Police allege he spit in the face of a 19-year-old woman in a wheelchair. The incident, which police say was unprovoked and random, happened just after 9 a.m. Sunday on Granville Street near West Georgia Street.
