Violent crime down in Surrey: RCMP

Violent crime is down in Surrey, according to the RCMP, though gangs and drug trafficking continue to be a problem.
Surrey RCMP say violent crime was down seven per cent in the third quarter of 2018, while property crime was down 16 per cent.
Mounties say all violent crime categories showed a decrease including a 23 per cent decline in robberies and six per cent decrease in sexual offences.
