Vigil held in downtown Vancouver for man who died while breaking up bar fight

Hundreds of friends and family members gathered for a candlelight vigil Wednesday for Kalwinder Thind, who was fatally stabbed early Saturday while trying to break up a fight outside the Cabana Lounge nightclub on Granville Street in Vancouver.
Vancouver Police shut down vehicle access to 1100-block Granville outside the nightclub to accommodate the crowd.
Thind, known to friends as Kris, was working at the nightclub. He tried to stop the fight but was stabbed and later died in hospital.
