VICTORIA — The B.C. NDP government won’t join Alberta and others in seeking major changes to Bill C-69, the federal legislative makeover for approving major energy projects.
The legislation, now before the Senate, has drawn fire from Alberta Premier Rachel Notley, the governments of Saskatchewan, Newfoundland and Ontario, as well as industry groups and economic think tanks.
