Vancouver Weather: Wind warning in effect as storm approaches
VANCOUVER, B.C. – Environment Canada has posted a wind warning for Metro Vancouver Friday, saying gusts of up to 90 km/h are expected in some parts of the region.
The agency warns that the strong winds could cause damage to buildings or trees. Gusts of up to 70 km/h are expected near the coast in the afternoon, and then winds are forecast to shift abruptly to the southwest with gusts up to 90 km/h. The wind should ease tonight, before another storm is expected on Saturday night.
