Vancouver police say 'distraction thieves' targeting seniors

Vancouver police are warning the public to be vigilant after receiving reports of eight “distraction thefts” in the last month.
The VPD says the thieves get out of vehicles and then use diversionary tactics to steal jewelry from unsuspecting victims.
Police say bandits make various excuses to make physical contact with the victims, who are always wearing visible necklaces and rings.
