Vancouver moves forward with nightlife measures, but no CCTV

Vancouver council moved ahead Wednesday with several liquor and nightlife-related measures, including booze in grocery stores, liquor-primary patios downtown, and front line anti-harassment workers at bars and clubs.
But one idea that’s off the menu for now, following a comprehensive staff review, is installing surveillance cameras in the Granville Entertainment District.
The downtown Granville strip, which includes a large concentration of liquor-primary establishments and a disproportion
