Vancouver man suffers serious injuries in West End assault

A 36-year-old man was sent to hospital with serious injuries following an early morning assault in Vancouver’s West End.
Vancouver police say the man called 911 just after 3 a.m. Wednesday to report he had been assaulted during an altercation near Davie Street and Burrard Street.  He was located minutes later near the intersection and taken to hospital. Police say he is being treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
