Vancouver man charged with 39 firearm offences

A Vancouver man has been charged with 39 firearms-related charges following a five-month long Vancouver Police Department investigation.
Police say they seized guns, more than 1,200 rounds of ammunition, multiple high-capacity magazines, silencers, balaclavas, zap-strap cable ties, a Taser, and handcuffs.
The VPD’s organized crime section arrested 34-year-old Derek Stephen on Nov. 29 in connection with Project Tactic, a five-month investigation that began in the summer.
