Vancouver council approves 2019 budget

Vancouver’s new mayor and 10-member council approved the $1.5 billion 2019 budget late Tuesday night, as well as a capital project budget of $371 million.
Most of the faces around Vancouver council’s chambers are new since the October election, and for mayor Kennedy Stewart and eight of 10 councillors, this marks their first city budget.
