UBC study shows more housing will help solve affordability crisis in Metro Vancouver

The provincial government must address the supply side of Metro Vancouver’s housing affordability crisis, according to a study released Thursday by UBC’s Sauder School of Business.
The report — Growing Pains: density, economic growth, sustainability and well-being in Metro Vancouver — states that government responses to the housing crisis have focused on demand, including increasing the property transfer tax, the new speculation tax, the school tax and an increase in
