Two people confirmed dead in house fire near Vernon

RCMP investigators have confirmed that the remains of two people have been found in a house that caught fire near Vernon last week.
On May 21, at around 4:15 a.m. the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP were called to assist the North Westside Fire Rescue with a home engulfed in flames located in the 300-block of Northernview Drive on the west side of Okanagan Lake, southwest of Vernon.
The structure was destroyed and its two occupants were unaccounted for at the time.
