Two dead near Campbell River, thrown in creek while riding ATV

CAMPBELL RIVER — A father and his 15-year-old daughter are dead after fast-moving water pushed their all-terrain vehicle over in Woods Creek south of Campbell River on Sunday.
The father’s body was found about 9:15 a.m. Monday, just over an hour after the search resumed at first light, said Daryl Beck, search manager for Campbell River Search and Rescue. The man’s body was found trapped against a log about 100 metres from where the ATV toppled.
