Two cases of measles reported in Greater Victoria

Two cases of measles have been reported in Greater Victoria, according to Island Health.
Both people became infected while travelling abroad and sought care at Royal Jubilee Hospital.
“Based upon clinical management and prior immunization, we want to assure people that risk of transmission is extremely low,” said Dr. Richard Stanwick, Island Health’s chief medical health officer.
