Surrey woman competes in axe-throwing competition
The first time Tiffany Fatima had to hurl a steel-blade axe at work, she was “insanely terrified.”
“I threw axes for 15 minutes and I didn’t get a single one in,” recalled Fatima. “I thought I was going to get fired.”
A year later, Fatima has become one of the coaches at Bad Axe Throwing in Surrey and will be among the more than 50 “axe-perts” competing in the World Axe Throwing League U.S. Open in Chicago from Aug. 10 to 12.
