Surrey teacher who drank alcohol before a dry grad reprimanded
A Surrey high school teacher who had a couple of drinks and engaged in inappropriate behaviour at a dry grad has been reprimanded for professional misconduct by the B.C. College of Teachers.
Edward Robert Lefurgy was helping out at the school’s casino-themed dry grad — an event without alcohol — held in June 2017 in Vancouver.
When he arrived, he met a parent and had two alcoholic beverages at the bar, according to an agreed statement of facts issued by the college.
