Surrey RCMP make arrest in string of smartphone robberies

Surrey RCMP have arrested a man in connection with a trio of violent smartphone robberies.
The scenario was the same in each robbery. Police say the three victims all placed ads on a buy-and-sell website, hoping to sell their smartphones. When the victims met with the suspect to complete the sale, they were either assaulted, or threatened with violence, and had their smartphones stolen.
