Surrey councillor Bruce Hayne resigns from Surrey First, will sit as independent

Surrey councillor Bruce Hayne has announced he will resign from Surrey First and sit on council as an independent.
“It comes down to a question of integrity, and I have lost faith in the leadership and direction Surrey First has taken,” said Hayne, in a statement.
Hayne, a long-time Surrey resident and business owner joined Surrey First in 2011 under its founding leader, then Surrey mayor Dianne Watts. He is currently serving his second term as councillor.
