Special prosecutor appointed in case against former Burns Lake mayor

A special prosecutor has been appointed to review the sex-related charges against former Burns Lake mayor Luke Strimbold.
Strimbold, 28, was arrested Feb. 3 and faces charges of 24 offences related to sex assault, sexual touching with a person under 16, sexual interference and sexual exploitation. Of the four victims involved, three were under the age of 16 at the time of the offences.
