Some to pay more, some to pay less as mayor's green-light new TransLink fare structure

Rapid transit riders who travel short distances across fare boundaries can expect to save money, while those who go a long way in two zones will pay more, under a new fare system that is coming to Metro Vancouver.
TransLink’s Mayors’ Council voted Thursday in favour of policy recommendations from a two-year transit fare review and directed staff to develop a plan for fares based on distance travelled. No date has been set for the change over.
