Some pay more, some pay less with TransLink's new fare structure

TransLink is going ahead with changes to its fare system that will charge rapid transit users based on the distance they travel.
Translink’s Mayors’ Council voted Thursday in favour of recommendations from a two-year transit fare review and directed staff to develop a plan to bring in the charges.
“This is a key milestone for us,” said Geoff Cross, vice-president of policy and planning for TransLink.
