Snow causes weekend driving havoc on Coquihalla and Okanagan Connector

Snow is making travel very difficult on Hwy. 97C — otherwise known as the Okaganan Connector — after heavy snowfall blanketed the route from Merritt to Peachland on Saturday night. 
The highway was closed to eastbound traffic four kilometres west of the Pennask summit for about two hours Sunday afternoon after a multi-vehicle collision around 2 p.m.. The route was re-opened shortly before 4:30 p.m.
