Small earthquake felt in the Shuswap Saturday evening

Shaking felt in the Shuswap on Saturday night was the result of a small earthquake.
According to Earthquakes Canada, its monitoring station four kilometres northeast of Salmon Arm detected an earthquake at 8:39 p.m. on Saturday.
The monitoring equipment picked up a 2.2-magnitude shake originating one kilometre below the Earth’s surface. According to Earthquakes Canada’s website, no damage was reported and none would be expected from a quake of that size.
