Skier rescued after breaking leg in avalanche on Mount Seymour
North Shore Rescue says a man caught in an avalanche Tuesday afternoon on Mount Seymour suffered a broken leg.
According to NSR social media, the skier was near the First Pump Ski Trail — not part of the Mount Seymour ski area but in Mount Seymour Provincial Park and maintained by B.C. Parks — when he was caught in a small avalanche. NSR initially classified it as “class 2,” meaning it could bury a person.
