Six Vancouver Island bald eagles dead, six in treatment due to poison

Cowichan Valley residents are being asked to keep an eye out for any “sleepy, ‘drunken’, or dead bald eagles” after 12 birds were found poisoned in the past week.
The Raptor Rescue Society issued a social media callout on Saturday, asking southern Vancouver Island residents to be on the lookout. Two were located on Wednesday, while another 10 were found Saturday.
