Six A&W workers in Esquimalt treated for irritation after chlorine mishap

VICTORIA — Six people were treated for exposure to chlorine gas after cleaning chemicals were mixed improperly at an A&W restaurant on Esquimalt Road Friday afternoon.
The Capital Regional District hazardous materials team was on scene and two men dressed in neon protective suits entered the restaurant around 2 p.m., two hours after the A&W was evacuated.
