Sinkhole closes part of Lougheed Highway in Pitt Meadows

A sinkhole that appeared on Lougheed Highway Wednesday night is causing some traffic delays this morning in Pitt Meadows.
The B.C. Ministry of Transportation says the westbound fast lane is shut down on Highway 7,  about 750 metres west of Allen Way.
Drivers are encouraged to use alternative routes, and are also advised that the HOV restriction will be temporarily lifted, so that two lanes are open to general-purpose traffic headed westbound.
