SFU cancels morning classes, rare 'thunder snow' possible for Vancouver Thursday

Environment Canada has posted a snowfall warning for northeast Metro Vancouver.
And, meteorologists say the region could see a rare thunder snow storm on Thursday.
On Thursday afternoon, Environment Canada posted the alert, saying some areas like the Tri-Cities, Langley, Surrey, Maple Ridge and the Fraser Valley had already seen snow accumulations ranging from five to 25 centimetres. The agency said those areas could expect another five centimetres by the evening.
