Second-degree murder conviction in 2011 Christmas Eve homicide

Police said Friday that they had secured a conviction in the 2011 shooting death of a 27-year-old killed on Christmas Eve in Surrey.   
Russell Atma Bidesi, 26, was found guilty of second-degree murder on Friday, after a trial that began in B.C. Supreme Court in September, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team said in a news release.
Bradley McPherson, was shot and killed on Dec. 24, 2011 while at a late-night house party.
