Rio Theatre operator says venue saved from redevelopment — for now

The operators of the Rio Theatre say the East Vancouver movie house is on the verge of being saved from redevelopment.
“So… We did it. It’s happening,” the Rio posted to its Facebook page. “We made a creative offer and it was accepted by our landlord.”
