Richard Walton will not seek re-election in North Van District
Richard Walton will miss the “most interesting job in the world” when he steps down as mayor of the District of North Vancouver, but he’s looking forward to spending more time with his family, on the slopes, and at the rink.
Walton, whose 13 years as mayor mark the longest consecutive tenure in the job since the District of North Vancouver was incorporated in 1891, announced Monday he won’t seek a fifth term in this October’s election.
