RCMP's B.C. commander to leave for government position

VICTORIA – The commanding officer of the RCMP in B.C. is leaving to become the provincial government’s new director of police services.
Brenda Butterworth-Carr, the deputy commissioner in charge of RCMP’s B.C. division, will become an assistant deputy minister and director of government policing policy effective March 5.
