Provincial program provides money to protect B.C. communities from fires

WHISTLER — Local governments and First Nations across B.C. at risk from wildfires can now apply for provincial money to conduct fire prevention activities on land around their communities.
The Community Resiliency Investment Program will provide up to $50 million over three years to local governments and First Nations. Up to $10 million will be available in the 2018/19 fiscal year, with $20 million earmarked for each of the next two years.
