Provincial byelection called in Nanaimo for Jan. 30

Premier John Horgan has a called a provincial byelection for the Nanaimo electoral district for Jan. 30.
The byelection was triggered when Leonard Krog resigned from his seat as NDP MLA on Nov. 30 after being elected Nanaimo’s mayor in October.
Sheila Malcolmson, the federal MP for Nanaimo-Ladysmith, has been acclaimed as the NDP candidate for an upcoming provincial byelection.
