Prince George high school locked down after weapon found on school grounds

A Prince George high school was locked down early Friday morning, following the discovery of a weapon on school grounds.
The incident occurred at the beginning of the day at Kelly Road Secondary School, where office staff were alerted to a safety concern within the building shortly after students began to arrive.
In a letter to parents, principal Steve MacRae explained that “a threat within our school was identified” and a lockdown was ordered as required by the district’s emer
