Phoney firearm leads to RCMP takedown in Richmond

A 26-year-old man is facing criminal charges after a BB gun was pointed at a store security guard in Richmond on Thursday.
The incident occurred just after noon at a business near Sweden Way and Bridgeport Road.
Richmond RCMP say a loss prevention officer had a firearm pulled on him while confronting a suspected shoplifter. Police say the gun-toting man then fled in a red Ford pickup truck which was believed to be carjacked with the owner inside.
Within 15 minutes of the incident, an R
