Pedestrian struck by transit bus in Surrey in critical condition

A pedestrian is in critical condition in hospital after being struck by a transit bus early Saturday in Surrey’s Newton neighbourhood.
Surrey Mounties say the collision happened between a Coast Mountain Bus and a pedestrian shortly before 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of 68 Avenue and 152 Street.
RCMP say the pedestrian suffered potentially life threatening injuries.
Traffic in the area is closed and will be for an undetermined time as officers continue their investigation.
