Pedestrian killed in hit and run in Maple Ridge

A woman in her 30s is dead after being struck by a vehicle late Thursday in Maple Ridge.
Ridge Meadows Mounties now confirm they are investigating the incident as a fatal hit and run.
RCMP say shortly before 10 p.m., a female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle travelling west in the 21800-block of Lougheed Highway. The vehicle did not remain in the area and the woman died.
