Passersby rush to Nanaimo Mountie's aid during violent melee

A Mountie in Nanaimo has several passersby to thank after they rushed to his aid after he was assaulted during a melee with a bathing suit-wearing woman and her male friend.
The incident took place at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
The RCMP say the officer was responding to a report of a domestic disturbance in the north end of the city when he located a woman wearing only a bathing suit and “acting and behaving quite erratically.”
