Passenger dead following single-vehicle accident in Richmond

A 37-year-old Delta man died Tuesday from injuries received during a single vehicle accident in Richmond.
RCMP say the man was a passenger in a 2006 Acura sedan that collided with a hydro pole at around 11:30 a.m. in the area of River Road and No. 8 Road.
The vehicle ended up partially submerged in a ditch.
The driver, a 45-year-old Delta man, was able to escape from the car and pull the passenger free with the help of some good Samaritans.
Both occupants were injured and taken to hospital,
