Opinion: Upcoming conference will be a springboard to increased equality for women

Vancouver will soon host the world’s largest conference on gender equality and the health, rights and wellbeing of women and girls. Women Deliver on June 3 to 6 is much more than a conversation about gender equality, it is a global movement and call to action for everyone in Canada to drive change in their lives and communities.
At home, we are making progress closing the gender gap. Gender equality was at the heart of the 2018 federal budget and steps have been taken to reduce the gender
